The motors and cable mechanisms of the power windows and sunroof are a common source of problems on these cars. Replacement is never easy or cheap, so it makes sense to try a little preventive maintenance in this area. The best advice is to keep the tracks lubricated. All kinds of lubes have been suggested, including marine oil, spray lithium grease, graphite dry lube, and vaseline. What you use is not as important as how often you use it. If you don't feed these things they WILL break.
